Excessive hair growth

Laser light can be used for unwanted hair growth on the face, armpits, back, legs and bikini line. Laser treatment is a safe and quick way and provides (almost) permanent hair removal. The hair removal laser in our practice is the Alexandrite 755nm laser. On average, 4-8 treatments are required. Costs depend on the extent of the area to be treated.

Blood vessels

Laser can be used as a treatment for blood vessels on the face and body. Different types of blood vessels are suitable for laser treatment such as rosacea, spider naevi, angiomas and fine varicose veins (besenreisers) on the legs.

Blood vessels are treated at our practice with the Nd:YAG 1064nm laser. Several treatments are usually required to achieve optimal results.

Pigmentation spots

Pigment spots on both face and body (e.g. backs of hands) are suitable for treatment by laser light. Pigmentation spots are treated at our practice using the Alexandrite 755nm laser. Several treatments are usually required to achieve optimal results.

(Acne) scars

Scars can be a permanent result of acne or surgical procedures. Laser treatment can give improvement to these scars. In our practice, we use the fractional CO2 10600nm laser. The fractional technology makes this a very effective treatment but with a shorter recovery. Multiple treatments are usually needed to achieve optimal results.

Wrinkles

Wrinkles can be improved by laser treatment. In our practice, we use a combination of the fractional CO2 10600nm laser with the non-ablative GaAs 1540nm laser for this purpose. This combination makes the treatment effective but patients suffer from side effects such as redness and flaking for a shorter time after treatment.
