Parkwegkliniek Sommer is located at Parkwegweg 29 in Maastricht. The Parkwegkliniek offers specialist medical assistance in the broadest sense of the word in an almost homely environment. This includes disciplines such as dermatology, gynaecology, urology, hand surgery and plastic surgery. A dedicated team of specialised doctors is attached to the clinic. All these doctors work in regular hospitals in addition to their work at the Parkweg Clinic. In this way, they are able to keep their expertise at the highest level thanks to broad work experience and a high degree of knowledge exchange.
Despite the atmospheric setting and a top-notch team of professionals, Parkwegkliniek Sommer suffers from some persistent prejudices and misunderstandings, which is a pity, because you would wish anyone in need of medical help to receive treatment at a place like this. We are therefore happy to list the advantages for you.
At the Parkway Clinic, waiting times are always short. Nobody likes to have to wait a long time for medical treatment, and the Parkweg specialists are well aware of this. Therefore, unlike many regular hospitals, the clinic guarantees short waiting times at all times.
Being sick or suffering from a condition is never nice. You may feel scared, or insecure. In such a situation, it is all the more important that you feel seen, and heard. The doctors at the Parkwegkliniek therefore like to take the time for you, so that you feel at ease, can tell your story and ask questions, and can fully focus your attention on your treatment or healing process.
Throughout your treatment process, you will deal with one doctor. This means that you do not have to repeat your story each time, or face a different person each time. Your own doctor knows your situation inside out and accompanies you throughout your treatment process.
One of the most persistent misconceptions, however, is that your health insurer will not reimburse your treatment. However, with a referral from your GP, your treatment at Parkwegkliniek Sommer will indeed be reimbursed. Here, it does not even matter whether the clinic has a contract with your health insurer. It is possible that, as with treatment in a hospital, you will owe an amount in excess, but otherwise you will never be charged any additional costs. In fact, if your health insurance does not reimburse more than 60 or 70% of a treatment because they do not have a contract with the Parkwegkliniek, we will take care of the difference and waive the remaining amount due. This way, you are assured that in no situation will any costs other than your excess be recovered from you.
Sometimes, nevertheless, patients may enquire by phone with their health insurer whether treatment at the Parkweg Clinic will be reimbursed, and be told that it will not be because the insurer in question does not have a contract with the clinic. However, this is most definitely incorrect. If you have a referral letter from your GP or specialist you have always entitled to reimbursement of your expenses. This is even regulated by law.
