Sometimes it is necessary to remove patches of the skin with skin abnormalities. Usually, this concerns small skin deficits which can be stitched up at time of the procedure. Sometimes, a deficit causes a lack of skin. In this case, it is not possible to primarily stitch the skin.

Treatment

Our plastic surgeon is intensively concerned with skin- and facial reconstructions. Deficits around for example the nose, eyes or mouth can cause related functional loss. Therefore, specialized care for these problems is present in our clinic. A close collaboration of dermatologist Dr. Sommer and plastic surgeon Drs. Michels enables highly specialized care in facial reconstruction in our clinic. During a consultation they will discuss the possibilities with you.
