Throughout your entire treatment process, you will be treated by one designated doctor. Reimbursement for your treatment

A common misconception is that treatments in a private clinic are not reimbursed. That is not correct.

As of 1 January, Parkwegkliniek Sommer has contracts with all health insurers. This means that:

  • Your treatment with a valid referral will be covered by your basic insurance.
  • We submit the claim directly to your health insurer.
  • You do not need to advance or submit any invoices yourself.

As in a hospital, your health insurer may charge you the excess. No additional costs or personal contributions will be charged.

Clarity towards health insurers

It is possible that a health insurer may provide incorrect information by telephone about reimbursements for independent clinics. However, with a valid referral letter from your general practitioner or specialist, you are always entitled to reimbursement for specialist medical care. This is laid down by law.
