Premature ejaculation

Premature ejaculation is when the man experiences an orgasm / ejaculate soon after sexual activity and with minimal penile stimulation. This usually occurs within 60 to 90 seconds (intravaginal ejaculation latency time, I.E.L.T).

The causation is unclear, but it can occur familial in the man based on gene mutation, serotonin receptor abnormality or in men over the age of 60 years.

Treatment

The treatment is diverse, consisting of self-training, psychotherapy and medication with an SSR inhibitor such as paroxcetine or dapoxetine. Alfred Kinsey, 1948, did not see P.E as a problem but rather as a sign of “masculine Vigor” which cannot always be cured.
